SYNOPSIS

A Par 4 Dog-Leg Right hole running in an Easterly direction from just below the 7th Green to the bottom of the valley which runs through the heart of the front 9 holes. The first part of the fairway to the corner of the Dog-Leg slopes viciously from left to right, after which the remainder of the fairway slopes down evenly to the Green. The Green, set directly below the 9th Tee, is moderately sized and level, but well protected by copses left and right, together with 3 well placed Greenside bunkers.

DANGER POINTS

Bushes, saplings, and severe rough on the right from the corner of the Dog-Leg to the bottom of the hill. Bushes and covered ditch beyond fairway directly ahead separating the Hole from the 6th. Severe rough and saplings on the far left-hand side of the fairway at the top of the Hole. Ditch running across the fairway, and in front of the right-hand copse, at the bottom of the hill 50 yards from the front of the Green.

OTHER FEATURES

In the summer when the ground is not so forgiving it is not uncommon for Tee-shots to end up close to the ditch straddling the fairway, or even in it!, as the extreme slope of the fairway directs the ball towards the Green.
