![]()
SYNOPSISA straight forward Par 4, but with a greater degree of difficulty than the 1st. The Hole runs along the top of the hill, in an East to West direction, and is more open to the elements. The Fairway again has two levels, the first being relatively flat and the second gently sloping up towards the moderately sized Green. The putting surface is flat, but well protected on both sides by shrewdly placed bunkers, whilst the rear is guarded by a steep bank.DANGER POINTSOut of Bounds all the way down the left hand side of the Hole, and at the back of the Green. Densely wooded copse on the right which encroaches in to the mid part of the hole. Beyond the copse embankment of bushes and scrubs separating the 4th from the 3rd Hole.OTHER FEATURESLike the 1st Hole there is a separate Medal Tee some 20 yards to the left of the Mens and Ladies Tee. Spectacular view of Portsmouth and the Solent from Selsey Bill in the East to Southampton Water in the West. |
