SYNOPSIS

A Dog-Leg Left Par 4, the only one on the Course, which tracks back down to the bottom of the hill and is made up of two distinct halves. The first half, from the Tee to the corner of the Dog-Leg, runs Eastwards just below the level of the 12th fairway and is relatively straight forward and flat. The second half, however, is not. Whilst the fairway is more than generous it slopes down over 45 feet to a relatively small Green, which is partially sunken into the hillslope at angle to the fairway. Two pot bunkers, front left and right, guard the putting surface, along with a bank which surrounds 50% of the Green.

DANGER POINTS

Large dense copse on the inside corner of the Dog-Leg. Clump of trees and bushes on outside corner of the Dog-Leg, continuing down the right-hand side of the fairway stopping 20 yards from the Green. Clump of trees and dense undergrowth on the left hand side just short of the green. Fir trees behind the Green protecting 15th Tee.

OTHER FEATURES

Separate Medal and Ladies Tee's. The Hole also offers a number of choices from the Tee - depending on the wind direction, and strength, you can either hit straight down to the corner of the Dog-Leg, or go for it over the Copse. For the very brave there is also a way down the left-hand side of the Copse, but with dense woodland close in on the left the margin for error is minimal.
