SYNOPSIS

A long Dog-Leg Right Par 4 that runs in a Westerly direction, and is ranked the 2nd hardest Hole behind the 6th. Principally the Hole is all uphill, although from the corner of the Dog-Leg it does flatten out, leaving only a subtle left to right slope to the fairway. The Green, the largest to be found on the Course, provides a generous target, and as is common with the high level holes is set into the hillslope. The putting surface is, therefore, overlooked by a steep bank on the left and guarded by a abrupt embankment on the right into which a large bunker is sunk.

DANGER POINTS

Out of Bounds on the left at the top of the hill, and directly above the Green. Severe rough, bushes and saplings on the immediate right separating Hole from the 16th. Clump of bushes and trees on the right 140 yards from Green. Fairway bunkers, left and right, 45 yards short of the Green. Large clump of fir trees protecting the 11th Tee immediately below and to the rear of the Green.

OTHER FEATURES

Along with the 9th this Hole provides a stern mid-round test for the average golfer, and with a prevailing Easterly wind blowing can often be considered as the third 'Par 5' on the Course.
